Hear Ye, Hear Ye

Obey all these things or be forever banished into a place where there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth, and no cake.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye

Post by luthien »

Rules:
  • There is a separate reserved board just for the story. Any posts which are not actively part of the story should go on the meta board.
  • Keep it clean. This is not erotica; we don't need graphic descriptions. Likewise, please try to keep profanity to a minimum.
  • This is a game, not an English class. Commentary on spelling, grammar, etc. is not necessary unless the author specifically requests it.
  • ...But please do check your work for obvious errors before posting, for the sake of our sanity.
  • This is a cooperative work. A good post will build on the previous post and leave plenty for the next person to build off in turn.
  • Play nice. Friendly commentary is okay, insults and denigration aren't.

Segmentation Fault wrote: Mon Oct 28, 2019 3:09 am All contributors should remember the "yes, and..." rule of improv. That's the idea where you never throw away what your predecessors have done and take the story in a new direction that makes all prior work irrelevant. E.g.
  • Author 1: Once upon a time there was a planet populated by adorable sentient bunnies.
  • Author 2: One day, an exploration team of humans from earth arrived and made first contact.
  • Author 3: At first, the bunnies were suspicious. But they had one weapon the humans could not possibly know about or even understand...
  • Author Don't Be This Guy: But then a meteor crashed into the planet, wiping out all life and turning the entire planet into cosmic dust. Earth sent a new team out to explore a planet colonized by sentient dogs which are much cooler.
Each contribution should be the end result of all the previous entries, such that if they had not been written yours would not be possible.
